NEWS FLASH !  NEWS FLASH !  NEWS FLASH !!

Diana (Ch Lambent's Moon Shadow) was bred in March 2008 to Diesel (Doublering Tarees Dream Machine) owned by Rebel Ridge kennel in GA.  Diana has OFA "good" hips and Diesel has a preliminary OFA rating of "good".  Additionally both parents are clear of PRA through parentage.  Diana also has clear elbows and vWD.  See Diana's mother (Hayley) below and see Diana on "our dogs" page.

Now Taking reservations on litter due May 2008.

Below are photo's from our 2006 litter of Hayley and Shiraz.

Hayley is a gentle mother.  Here she is gently cleaning her 2 day old litter of 8 puppies while they nurse.  Below are two of the babies, 4 days old, sleeping peacefully.  Eyes are still unopened at this age, all their needs are taken care of by mother.

Puppies are introduced to "gruel", their first solid meal at about 3 weeks.  They will still continue to nurse for a while, but the gruel will help their tummies get used to solid food.

Kuvasz puppies all look very similar so they are usually marked with either nail polish (as Goldie demonstrates on her left hip) or by wearing different colored collars.

Kuvasz puppies play ROUGH.  Here, Goldie is tackling Tip while Big Foot waits to take on the winner.

Pups are about 7 weeks old in this photo.

Puppies are encouraged to come out and explore the great outdoors.  Here on one of the trips to my garden, one of the pups discovers worms.  Yummy.  On their first, and all subsequent outings, all of the puppies exhibited a very high degree of confidence when exploring their new surroundings.  Confidence is one of the most important personality/temperament traits to be considered.  A dog lacking in confidence will not feel at ease in new places, around new people, or in new circumstances.  Puppies lacking in confidence are more likely to be problematic at a later age.

At 8 weeks of age all the puppies traveled to Battle Creek MI for evaluation of their show/breeding quality.  Here Diana is examined by veteran breeder and stud dog owner Sue Thomas.  Diana was chosen that day by another veteran breeder Karen Barnes as her pick puppy, is now living with her, and remains co-owned by Lambent.  Diana finished her Championship in February 2006 in grand style - by beating her multiple group placing sister!

This is Fattima in the arms of one of the many friends she made that day during puppy evaluation.  Fattima won the "Miss Congeniality" award hands down as everyone kept passing her to the arms of another person.  She still loves to be hugged and snuggled to this day.  Of course, at her current weight of over 80 lbs, there's much more to snuggle.  We are very proud and fortunate to have kept this puppy.  What a joy she is to live with.

Fattima began her show career in November 2004 and finished her Championship in short order in May 2005.  Since then she has continued to show on a very limited basis and has racked up 2 group placements in 4 group showings.  All of them breeder/owner/handled.

We were very fortunate to have produced such an outstanding litter out of Hayley by Shiraz.  We want to thank Sue Thomas for letting us use her wonderful male.  We are hopeful that our next litter will produce results that we are equally happy with.
